I don’t know about you, but I am a try-before-you-buy kind of person. Actually, I always try the free stuff before I seek out other products. That’s especially true for anything fitness related. Luckily, there are a ton of fitness freebies out there.
If you are wanting to start exercising after a hiatus, trying to focus on nutrition, or simply want to try something new, I get it! I’ve been there 100 times. I am that girl who has gone back and forth for years. I eventually got tired of my fluctuating health and decided to become a personal trainer. Now I know myself well enough to know that I need to exercise in order to stay healthy mentally as well as physically.
But there’s always that first step.
Whether you are completely new to exercising or you are a late-bloomer when it comes to eating healthy, there’s always the first step of deciding to take control of your health.
The best thing you can do is start trying new things!
The key to long-lasting health is knowing what you enjoy and knowing yourself. In order to do that, you need to try new things.
I’m talking about new workouts, new nutrition programs, new foods, new supplements, etc.
You need to figure out what works for you, what your weaknesses are, then act accordingly. For example, I do not enjoy PiYo. And yoga feels good but it doesn’t give me the rush and energy boost I like. It turns out that I enjoy lifting, whether in BodyPump style classes, or on my own. I didn’t grow up playing sports or being active, and you didn’t have to either. You just have to be brave enough to set goals and try new things. Move your body in a way that you enjoy, and make smart food decisions.
