Welcome to today’s blog post featuring mompreneur Jena!

I am finally getting on with my Everyday Dreamers series featuring mompreneurs. (I hope you enjoyed the first post!) This series is all about moms and mom bosses who are chasing their dreams in the realm of wellness. Click here to learn more about the series and how to be featured. All of the moms that I feature in this series are either bloggers or business owners in the categories of fitness, wellness, self-care, etc.

As I’ve said before, I believe that part of being holistically healthy is nourishing your mental and emotional self as well as your physical self. That means that moms should take care of themselves in many different ways!

One such way would be to continue to pursue your passions, hobbies, and career interests even after you become a mom.

We have a tendency, as moms, to put our dreams and hobbies on the back burner once we have children. However, I find that while our priorities must shift a little, throwing away our hopes and dreams can seriously backfire! A mom on a mission is healthier in every sense of the word.

You are allowed to dream, mama! You can be a mompreneur, too!

It took me a long time to figure that out. But I am continually inspired by other moms who have been working at their mompreneur dreams while also raising babies! Love me a good momtrepreneur! When I think about strong women, this is the first thing that comes to mind.

So today I am super excited to share the story of an Everyday Dreamer, mompreneur (that’s mom + entrepreneur for ya), and mama just like me! My hope would be that you find some inspiration or encouragement by reading the story of another mom boss. So welcome to Jena’s story!

Q: First tell us a little bit about you! (Where are you from? How old are your kids?)

A: I’m Jena Bradley, a Physical Therapist and a mom of 4 girls. My daughters are 6, 4, 2, and 1 and they definitely keep me on my toes (which I like)! We live in Pittsburgh, PA and my family and I are big Pittsburgh Penguin Hockey fans! I have a passion for fitness and helping others with their fitness journey during motherhood.

Q: Do you have a blog or business in wellness?

A: Yes!

Q: What is the URL?

A: https://livecorestrong.com

Q: What kind of business or blog do you operate?

A: My blog, Live Core Strong, focuses on motivating moms to live a life that incorporates fitness and fun throughout their motherhood journey: pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. With my Physical Therapy background, I serve to educated my readers on how to properly and safely perform exercise during pregnancy and postpartum stages of motherhood.

Q: How long have you been in business/blogging?
A: Since September of 2018.
Q: Tell us how you got started! What made you decide to start your blog or business?
A: It all started when I found out my brother and his wife were pregnant with their first child. My sister-in-law came to me continuously with many questions regarding pregnancy because, well, after having 4 babies myself, she definitely knew that I would have an answer for her! She knew I was dependable and that she could trust my advice. After realizing how I was able to help her so much, and so many other friends who were pregnant for the first time, I developed a strong desire to help other women who I couldn’t meet face to face. Therefore, a blog was the perfect outlet. I love helping other women who are going through pregnancy and motherhood, and best of all they get access to some really amazing medical advice as a bonus!
Q: What would you consider your business/blog’s mission?
A: “Live Core Strong exists to motivate the ent generation of healthy mothers and their families by providing medical recommendations and practical advice on fitness and parenting with the goal of creating a strong core lifestyle which is the foundation to a healthy body and unified family.”
Q: What was your biggest hurdle in STARTING your blog/biz?
A: The biggest hurdle with starting the blog was definitely the tech side of things. I have no experience when it comes to creating websites or design. I learned everything from scratch through YouTube videos and google search. It was hard but definitely worth it, and I learned a lot.
Q: What do you consider your biggest ongoing struggle in operating a blog or business?
A: Still to this day the biggest hurdle is time constraints. My family comes first and I don’t allow work to get in the way. I work on my blog only during times when my kids are sleeping (nap and night time) so that leaves me with a limited window of work time. I focus on finding ways that I can be most efficient and productive with the little time that I have but yet it never seems like I have enough time. I am proud of all that I have accomplished with 4 kids and a part-time job on top of my blogging business!
Q: What do you believe to be key to your growth as a blogger or business owner? (Did you have any major breakthroughs or turning points?)
A: For me my biggest break through was honestly when I got suspended from Pinterest on 2 separate occasions and never gave up. I really came close to quitting and thought I would never be able to get traffic to my blog if I was suspended from Pinterest. I thought that was the end of the blog. But I prayed and persevered and now months later, I’m still going strong with increases in my Pinterest traffic every month since then. I think the number one key to my growth as a blogger has been to set goals and strive for them every step of the way. Set short term and long term goals and never quit. In order to reach your goals, you need to keep learning and growing. Don’t quit!
A: If you have a passion for your blog or business, don’t give up. God puts it in your heart for a reason. If you are excited about it, then that means you should keep working at it. If you no longer have excitement for it, then maybe it’s time to rethink about what the purpose of your business is. Do you see yourself years down the road still pursuing this dream. Hopefully the answer is “Yes”!
Q: Where is the best place to find you online?
A: On my blog https://livecorestrong.com on my contacts page, or follow me on Pinterest,  Facebook, and Instagram.

There you have it, friends!
