Why healthy Blackstone recipes?

Last year for his birthday, I got my husband one of the tabletop Blackstones.

I bought it for him because I thought it would be helpful when he is out in the woods and needs a quick hot meal.

(He is a big camper/hunter/dirt bike rider and spends much of his free time in the woods!)

Fast forward a few months and he now takes that thing everywhere!

He has used (and loved) it so much that we decided that we most definitely needed a larger Blackstone on the back porch.

So, I started searching the internet to check prices and styles in hopes that one might be on sale.

But we got really lucky because a coworker of my husband’s was downsizing and wanted to get rid of his newer Blackstone griddle and gifted it to us!

Actually, the timing worked out perfectly because our old Traeger was starting to get rusty and needed quite a bit of work. Nothing lasts forever.

So – my husband and I recently acquired one of the big Blackstone griddles and have enjoyed testing out different recipes and cooking methods.

Of course, I haven’t tried every single healthy Blackstone griddle recipe out there.

But I did scour the internet for the most-loved, highest-rating recipes for you to try.

I’m going to try to organize these healthy Blackstone recipes by meal type, but just know that there aren’t really any rules.

(Who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner?) 🙂

Healthy Blackstone Breakfast Recipes

1. Ultimate Breakfast Scramble with Vegetables

This healthy griddle recipe is perfect for breakfast not just because it’s high in protein, but because it features veggies!

What I love about scrambles is that they are highly customizable, meaning that it’s really easy to switch things up without totally overhauling the recipe.

For example, although this recipe calls for bacon and hashbrowns, you can easily omit them or just make them on the side! No extra dishes or pans are needed!

P.S. I personally think that the best oil for healthy Blackstone cooking is avocado oil. It has a higher smoke point than other oils and is much better for you than canola oil or your average vegetable oil!

2. Blackstone Denver Omelette

Here’s another great meal idea for your Blackstone breakfasts – a Denver omelette!

If you’re not already familiar with Denver omelettes, they usually feature ham, onions, and bell peppers. (Cheese is always a good choice, too!)

That makes them full of veggies and protein (from the eggs).

Egg whites are full of protein and fat-free, so many people choose to add them to their diet when counting macros or eating healthy.

4. Blackstone Spinach Omelette

Here’s another healthy griddle recipe straight from Blackstone themselves.

This spinach omelette recipe calls for onion, tomato, and spinach, and is topped with some avocado for healthy fat.

You can also opt to add shredded cheese, sour cream, and your favorite hot sauce!


5. Blackstone Breakfast Pizza

Looking for something a little different than just eggs and veggies?

Why not give this breakfast pizza a try?

It features breakfast sausage, bell peppers, eggs, green onion, and a handful of other simple ingredients.

(It calls for vegetable oil but I recommend choosing a healthier oil, such as avocado oil, for pretty much everything.)

(You can skip the tortillas and make a salad to make it keto-friendly.)

It’s quite simple, yet easily customized.
