Wondering how to grow your Beachbody business with something other than Instagram or YouTube? Here’s how to use Pinterest to grow your Beachbody business!

Update: I am no longer a Beachbody coach. Find out why in this post. Now, I am an Independent Ambassador for Q Sciences instead. There was just too much potential with this great wellness company, so I couldn’t pass it up. You can read all about Q Sciences in this post.

In 2014, I became a new mom and decided to stay home.

However, I wanted to contribute to my family financially, so I researched ways to earn money online. This is when I found blogging and have spent much of the last five years teaching myself how to blog.

If you do any bit of research about how to grow a blog or online business, you’ll quickly find out that Pinterest is huge!

I feel pretty lucky to have caught on to the wonders of Pinterest a few years ago, and it’s now my favorite marketing tool. It’s also my most successful marketing platform by far.

I know that you have a lot of questions about how to use Pinterest to grow your Beachbody business, and we’ll get to that. But first let me give you a little bit of perspective on why I think that this tool is so important for coaches.

Why YOU Should Use Pinterest To Grow Your Beachbody Business

Now, I have not been a coach for super-duper long, but I have been writing on this blog for the better part of two years.

I promised my existing readers that I’d be transparent on my journey because I know that some of them are still skeptical about the business. So I wrote a blog post about both why I decided to become a coach and everything that happened in my first week as a Beachbody coach.

I wrote those posts mostly for my readers because I wanted them to know what I was doing but I also wanted to share my misconceptions with them.

Anyway, I posted that second post and made a few Pinterest Pins to go with it. Then I also wrote a post inviting readers to my challenge groups and giving them my schedule for those. And here’s what happened within just a few hours:

Literally hours after writing those two posts and Pinning those images that corresponded to them, my posts started going crazy!

The snapshot you see was taken less than 24 hours after posting about my first week as a Beachbody coach.

I was having HUNDREDS of people visit my site!

As soon as I saw those numbers climbing, I made sure to add some coaching info, links to my Coach website, and invites to the challenges I was running!

I had SIX people ask me for info about coaching and even more people visit my coach website.

I also had 39 people request to join my next challenge.

P.S. I use a service called Tailwind to keep my Pins circulating on Pinterest. Try out this insanely helpful tool using their free trial – you won’t regret it!

Not only this, but I had a TON of people clicking on my BOD, Shakeology, & Transform :20 links. WOOP!

After this, I quickly realized that I’d need some funnels to keep in touch with these people (hellooooo leads!) even if they didn’t buy right then and there. So then I went in and made some email funnels, FAQs, etc. for those people.

That’s a whole different post though, so let’s get back to using Pinterest to grow your Beachbody business.

How To Use Pinterest To Grow Your Beachbody Business

You can probably see how this Pinterest thang can be powerful. People who are ALREADY interested in Beachbody (coaching or whatever it may be) are willingly coming to my site!

It’s not like Instagram where you kind of have to reach out to them. THEY are taking the first step.

Then when they come to my site (you can also use it to direct people to YouTube videos or anything else) I can give them more info. They have already expressed interest, so they are automatically going on my list of leads!

Now, I have been in the Pinterest game for awhile so when I joined Beachbody as a coach, it was the first thing I wanted to use as far as growth. Now I’m going to teach you how to use Pinterest to grow YOUR Beachbody business, but it is a large topic.

So don’t get overwhelmed! I’m going to try to break it wayyy down for you, but if you need more info, you can always leave a comment or email me at ironwildfitness@gmail.com.

Dear Prospective Beachbody Coach

If you aren’t already a coach but are considering it, please let me know!

I can already tell that you are going to be a great coach because you do your research and that’s a huge indicator to me that you’re really wanting to grow. What I want you to know that I am highly invested in helping others grow (as you can see) and I want you on my team!

I have a ton of unconventional growth hacks to share with you as well as the regular trainings, and I’d love to talk to you about all of that! Sign up for some more coaching info below and I’ll send you some FAQ’s and get in touch.

Okay. Let’s get back to learning how to grow your Beachbody business with Pinterest.

First I want to give you the gist, since I realize that some of you are totally new to this type of marketing.

The first thing you need to understand is that Pinterest is not really a social media platform. It’s actually more of a visual search engine. While you can follow people and chat with people on the Pinterest platform, it’s more about the searching. Think about it. It’s like Google but with images!

You don’t go on Pinterest to put personal images up and talk about your life – you go there to look for something. A recipe, a workout, a tutorial, etc.

Right?

Okay, so how would you use Pinterest to grow your Beachbody business?

Anyone can make a Pin (image) to put up on Pinterest. Those Pins are most often linked to something (a website or whatever). That means that when a Pin circulates and gets clicked, people aren’t just getting that image – they are being sent somewhere.

It doesn’t matter if you have a blog or not, but YOU can use Pins to send people somewhere. Anywhere! If you want to send people to a YouTube video, you can! If you want to send people to your Instagram, you can!

I personally like to use Pins that I create and upload to Pinterest to send people here, to this blog.

This may have been the Pin YOU clicked on to get here!

This is because on a blog, I can give people more value. I can give them more information and they can learn more about me.

The beauty of it is that when people click on my Pins and land on my site, I already know what they are interested in.

Those people that clicked on my Pin that says, “Everything That Happened In My First Week As A Beachbody Coach?” They are literally ALREADY interested in coaching!

Guys and girls, this is GOLD!

I am not reaching out to random people who may or may not be interested in this opportunity! I already know they’re interested because THEY took the steps to get here.

Anyway. That’s the general “gist” of how it works. It sounds complicated but really it’s just this:

  1. Make an image.
  2. Link that image to a URL you want to send people to.
  3. Upload/Pin that baby.
  4. Watch the leads rolllllll in.

Now. That’s not to say that there isn’t a lot more to it. The concept is simple, but just like with Instagram, you have to GROW your Pinterest account. And, in my opinion, using your Pinterest account with a BLOG is the best.

You can write about your coaching journey, share Shakeology recipes, give fitness tips, etc. The options are endless. But that again, is for another day.

Step-By-Step Pinterest Growth

Since this is a huge topic to cover in one post, I am going to give you three quick action steps to complete right now. Then after you complete those, you can hop over to my post about Pinterest optimization and go Pinterest-crazy.

You can also check out my blog post about starting a health or fitness blog to grow your Beachbody business even more, but first go finish these Pinterest steps:

  1. Get a Pinterest business account.

If you already have an account, switch it to a business account. This post has step-by-step instructions on how to either create a business account or switch your existing account to a business one.

2. Follow 20 people in your niche.

Find some people to follow to get your Pinterest account active. You want to follow people who will cover the same stuff you would.

So since I’m a personal trainer & Beachbody coach that wants to focus on moms, I’d find other Pinterest accounts that are about fitness, motherhood, etc.

If you have a favorite Elite coach you want to follow, start with that! The point is just to start filling your feed and getting active.

3. Start making boards in your niche and filling them.

You need to attract the right people by creating boards that would interest your target audience. I have boards about fitness, motherhood, being a SAHM, healthy recipes, etc. Start by creating 5 boards and filling them with stuff that matches their topic.

Okay. Now you have some specific things to do to help you grow your Beachbody business with Pinterest.

I have a lot more to teach you though, so don’t forget to follow up by reading this post next.
